Sales Policy

Sales Policy- updated January 26, 2014

  • We will not sell live rabbits under 8 weeks old.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a rabbit.
  • We accept cash, US Postal Service Money Orders, or PayPal payments. No checks.
  • We are a closed rabbitry- we do not allow visitors into the rabbitry. There are many health and safety reasons, for our rabbits as well as our family, that have convinced us that we must be a closed rabbitry. We usually meet in our front yard- not in the rabbitry.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any sale at any time and we have the right to refuse to sell.
  • You can schedule a meeting day, where we bring the litter or litters you are interested in to a location of our choice. You must show up at the scheduled time- we will not wait longer than 20 minutes if you do not contact us. These meetings do not mean that you have reserved a rabbit from the litter or litters. A meeting day can be scheduled via email.
  • You must show up on your scheduled pick up day, at the scheduled time. If you do not show, then the rabbit will be put back up for sale.  A pick up day can be scheduled via email. We can, and prefer to, combine meeting and pick up days. You must bring your own carrier.
  • To reserve a rabbit, you must make a deposit of 50% of the rabbit's price. If you cancel the sale or do not show up at the scheduled pick up day, then the deposit is non-refundable. If we cancel the sale, then your deposit will be refunded.
  • All our rabbits come with pedigrees, except those we consider to be pet quality rabbits or some meat quality rabbits. Pet quality and meat quality does not mean unhealthy! It simply means of a lesser type than our other rabbits, or they do not fit the ARBA standards.
  • We can not guarantee the gender of your new rabbit if she/he is under 16 weeks old. We will guess to the best of our ability.
  • We can not guarantee the show success, production rate, or personality of our rabbits after they leave our care, since they are still growing and we have no control over factors such as stress and disease. We will provide details about our observations of the rabbit's personality and growth rate while it was in our care, as well as details about the rabbit's lineage.
  • We guarantee that we sell only healthy rabbits.
  • If your new rabbit comes into the presence of another rabbit in the 7 days after your purchase, then we will not guarantee its health after we sell the rabbit. 
  • If your new rabbit does not come into the presence of another rabbit in the 7 days after your purchase, then we will guarantee your new rabbit's health for those 7 days after your purchase. Contact us if there is an illness or death, and we will decide if you can receive a refund or replacement. Refunds and replacements will not be given if the illness or death was caused by neglect, mishandling, or unnescessary stress. We recommend that you quarantine your new rabbit for 2-4 weeks.
  • This applies mainly to pet rabbits, but also to any other rabbit. If you need to get rid of your rabbit, please do not give it to a shelter- we are willing, in almost all cases, to take the rabbit back. We will not refund you. 
  • When you purchase from us, you agree to the Sales Policy above.

Note: we do have a waiting list. No deposit required. The people on the waiting list will be notified as soon as the rabbits are available for sale. The "first come, first serve" policy (unless they make a reservation with a deposit) still applies to them.
